Pfizer has unveiled its new logo online, describing it as a signal of the company’s transition from commerce to science.”
The pharmaceutical company has replaced its blue oval pill background with a blue-toned double helix spiral resembling a DNA molecule. Its tagline, “Breakthroughs that changes patients’ lives,” however, remains the same.
“We’ve unlocked the pill form to reveal the core of what we do,” Pfizer explained on its
website. The company also released two new videos—the first explaining its logo and the second one focusing on its
Science Will Win campaign.
“Our identity reflects the dignity of Pfizer’s history and captures the innovative spirit and science focus alive in the company today,” shared Sally Susman, Pfizer’s executive VP and chief corporate affairs officer.
The new logo took 18 months of work and would help boost Pfizer’s reputation following its announcement of the BNT162B2 coronavirus vaccine, which it developed together with Germany-based company BionNTech.
