TikTokers Are Turning Old Lace Bras Into Gorgeous Bralettes With A Simple Snip

When you think sensual loungewear, bralettes might spring to mind. These lace pieces are sexy yet classy, but this also means that they often come at premium prices.
The good news is that, if you have an old bra lying around that you no longer use, there’s no need to cough up any money. A new trend on TikTok, called the #BraletteChallenge, sees users transforming their old lace bras into luxurious-looking bralettes.
The process is pretty straightforward. For bras with the padding separate from the lace, use a pair of scissors—preferably nail scissors—to cut the thread at the seam on top. Bras without this layer can also be turned into bralettes; simply carve a hole in the padding and carefully cut around.
As pointed out by one TikTok user, there’s no need to spill $90 when you’ve already got a lace bra waiting for its glowup at home.
