UNIQLO & Ramen Brand Nissin Create Noodles To Warm You Inside Like Its Clothing

UNIQLO has extended the idea of its iconic HEATTECH technology to food.
The retailer has partnered with Japanese instant noodle company Nissin to unveil a new take on instant noodles. Inspired by its signature HEATTECH garments, the instant noodles come in two different flavors that will keep you warm from the inside in winter.
HEATTECH is made of a special blend of materials that wick moisture from your body and turn it into heat, keeping you warm. Air pockets that are embedded within the ultra-thin fibers trap the heat and retain it. The result is a lightweight layer of warmth sans the bulk.
The HEATTECH styles are offered in three different warmth levels including regular HEATTECH, extra-warm, and ultra-warm.
Now, UNIQLO and Nissin have found a way to mimic the HEATTECH thermal technology in its two offerings: the HEATTECH Donbei Meita-style Ankake Udon and HEATTECH Donbei Pork Dashi Ankake Soba.
The HEATTECH Donbei Meita-style Ankake Udon carries flavors of salted pollock roe infused in a ginger-based soup. The HEATTECH Donbei Pork Dashi Ankake Soba boasts an intense pork flavor and an ankake-thickened ginger soup stock.
The two offerings are seasoned with spicy ginger and shichimi pepper to further heat up your body.
The noodle cups will be available in Japan on 25 January and they will retail for ¥193 (US$1.87).
