Hilarious Website Lets You Place Bernie Sanders Anywhere Around The World

You may have seen numerous hilarious memes of Bernie Sanders seated during President Joe Biden’s inauguration. Now, thanks to a student, you can easily place Sanders in his chair and getup all over the world.
The website, bernie-sits.herokuapp.com, was created by NYU masters student Nick Sawhney. The site allows you to drop the senator anywhere around the world with the help of Google Maps’ Street View.
All you need to is enter a location or address on the site, and after one click, you will have an image of Sanders sitting in the scene.
The website quickly gained traction, and Sanders can now be seen taking on a tour from the Eiffel Tower to the streets of Dublin. Some Twitter users cheekily placed him in Donald Trump’s related neighborhood, including Trump Tower and Four Seasons Total Landscaping.
Sawhney told Insider that he launched the website after sharing Sanders memes in a group chat discussing Biden’s inauguration. Sawhney explained that the group’s members had superimposed Sanders in front of the library in the school.
“I asked my friend for one of the cutouts he was making of Bernie on his phone and I was just like, ‘Yeah, this probably could be a website pretty easily,’” he said.
He was “overwhelmed” by how his website blew up, but was pleased to see that people are enjoying it. Due to the heavy traffic, he found himself staying up all night to improve the site’s server to ensure it would run smoothly.
