As Adobe Killed Flash, It Also Stopped A Whole Chinese Railroad Service

For years, Adobe had been prepping users for the discontinuation of Flash. On 31 December 2020, after three years of putting out warnings, the company pulled the plug on the multimedia software which powered games and animations across the web.
The death of Flash was apparently news to a railroad network in northern China. Jalopnik reported that, last Tuesday, the train system in the city of Dalian was stopped in its tracks, for lack of a better word. Because, for some reason, the railroad was running on Flash.
According to AppleDaily, the railroad ceased working for 20 hours, but it’s now back and running smoothly.
And it isn’t because the transport system upgraded to a new and completely different program. Amusingly, its operators decided to boot it up by installing a pirated version of Flash dubbed the ‘Ghost Version’.
