KFC Gives The Colonel An Anime Makeover By Dressing Him As ‘Demon Slayer’

KFC Japan has delighted its customers by giving Colonel Sanders an anime makeover.
Instead of his classic white ensemble, the statue of Colonel Sanders is seen rocking the attire of Tanjiro, the lead character of the hit anime series Demon Slayer.
Anime fans snapped photos of the statue at one of the fast-food chain’s branches at Kuki Station in the Saitama Prefecture in Japan.
Behind it, the words “Defeat yourself and slash/kill corona” are displayed in colorful text panels. The phrase is an altered quote from the Demon Slayer, which says, “Defeat yourself and slash/kill the demons.”
Demon Slayer is dubbed by many anime fans as the most popular series in Japan after Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece.
