Savage x Fenty Pushes For Inclusivity By Casting Its First Little Person Model

Rihanna has continued to make space for inclusivity with her latest casting decision for her lingerie label, Savage x Fenty.
Tamera McLaughlin has become the brand’s first little person ambassador. Announcing on Instagram, McLaughlin revealed that the role is a dream come true. “I shared my [dream] with my manager,” she told BuzzFeed. “And she began to speak life into me by saying, ‘You will get what your heart desires, keep posting and creating a buzz on social media.’”
In campaign photos shot by @PhotomaticSmith, McLaughlin can be seen donning the brand’s black lingerie set and posing on a couch. McLaughlin explained that she organized an exclusive photoshoot with the manager to get the brand’s attention.
McLaughlin said that she cried immediately after receiving an email from the Fenty team, who asked if she was interested in being the brand’s ambassador upon seeing one of McLaughlin’s viral videos.
Her goal as a Savage x Fenty ambassador is to continue to bring “awareness to self-love, loving the skin you’re in and being courageous to go after the things your heart desires.”
