IKEA Flat-Pack Assembly Apparently Frustrates These Countries The Most

Ever put together an IKEA clothes rack only to discover at the end that it is leaning one way? You’re not alone. Amusing research by HouseHoldQuotes, via Apartment Therapy, suggests that the struggle of putting IKEA furniture together is universal.
To assess frustration, the website looked at 48,405 IKEA-related tweets from across the globe, and then used sentiment detection tool TensiStrength to identify stressful language. It later created an interactive map, shown below, to reveal which countries are supposedly most infuriated when assembling IKEA furniture at home.
It appears that shoppers all over the world are most disgruntled about setting up sofas, with 50.6 percent deeming it to be the “most stressful” to assemble. This is followed by cupboards (50 percent), nightstands (48.5 percent), dressers (48.3 percent), and cribs (48.1 percent).
As for which nation is most likely to flip a table over a flat-pack table, the website shared that IKEA-related tweets geotagged in Iceland have appeared the most stressful.
