Samoa Tourism Releases Cheeky Travel Ad To Invite The Rock Back To His Homeland

Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) has released a cheeky video reminding actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson why his homeland should be at the top of his list once it is safe to travel again.
The 60-second video, which has already amassed over 100,000 views on STA’s social platforms, displays Samoa’s breathtaking locations, with locals showing off the beautiful island while sipping on The Rock’s new Termana Tequila in hand.
His Samoan aiga, which means “family,” invites the actor back to his hometown as they share stories of how they are connected to him. They praise The Rock and express feeling proud of his achievements and incredible success.
The clip also welcomes international travelers to visit Samoa, showing some of the destination’s best offerings including its lush rainforest at O Le Pupu-Pu’e National Park, Togitogiga Waterfall, the white sands of Vavau Beach, and Samoa’s famous fiafias at Taumeasina Island Resort.
“We wanted to capture the attention of Seiuli (Dwayne Johnson) in a fun and creative way, while also promoting The Rock’s home country to his millions of followers around the world,” STA chief executive Fa’amatuainu Lenatai Suifua said. “It’s been a challenging year for our small island nation, as it has been for all destinations that rely on international tourism, but we remain committed to ensuring the safety of our people as we eagerly await the moment we reopen to international travelers and have the opportunity to welcome Dwayne home.”
