PepsiCo Launches Workaholic’s Mtn Dew With Enough Caffeine For 2 Cups Of Coffee

PepsiCo has launched a new energy drink to help people conquer the work day.
Mtn Dew Rise Energy is a concoction consisting of 180mg of caffeine, Vitamins A and C, antioxidants, and fruit juice. The drink contains roughly the same amount of caffeine found in two cups of coffee. Its ingredients also include citicoline, which is used in memory-boosting supplements.
“With Citicoline and caffeine to boost mental clarity and Zinc for immune support, MTN Dew Rise Energy is designed to awaken ambition and help people conquer the day,” PepsiCo said.
The drink comes in six flavors—Pomegranate Blue Burst, Orange Breeze, Strawberry Melon Spark, Tropical Sunrise, Berry Blitz, and Peach Mango Dawn.
“Power, intuition, strength. A guardian and protector. But ultimately, a disruptor and leader, the person first to the waves, to the court, to the office. Someone who isn’t waiting, but will get up and Rise [rather than] hit the snooze,” Leon Imas, VP of beverage design and experience at PepsiCo beverages North America, said, speaking about the target market for the drink.
The drinks will come in 16-ounce cans and sell for US$2.59.
