Intel Creates Anti-Apple Comparison Site Claiming Macs ‘Don’t Stack Up’

As part of a bizarre campaign starring former “I’m a Mac” guy Justin Long, Intel has created a comparison site ripping Apple’s M1 chip apart.
The new Get Real, Go PC page appears to compare specifications between Intel’s 11th Gen Core mobile processor and Apple’s M1 MacBooks, but with vague phrases like “Extra Devices and Gear Required” and “Touch Bar Only,” it’s clear that it is merely a tongue-in-cheek dig at Apple.
“Many Apple M1 claims don’t translate to real-world usage and appear questionable. When compared to a PC with the 11th Gen Intel Core mobile processor, the M1 MacBook features just don’t stack up,” the site’s description asserts.
In one juxtaposition, Intel touts that a PC “Gives Users a Complete Touch Screen,” whereas Macs only have a “Constrained” Touch Bar.
In recommending Windows tablet-laptop hybrids, Intel jokes that Apple customers are “Paying Apple for Multiple Devices and Gear.”
The company also suggests that most software and add-ons are built for the PC, while Mac users have to deal with “Non-Native Uncertainty,” and further describes Apple’s operating system as a “rigidly controlled walled garden.”
