In honor of World Water Day, Gap is releasing its most sustainable fashion capsule yet.
The limited-edition range features everyday wear for adults, teens, kids, and babyGap divisions. This collection is part of Gap’s Generation Good push, which carries eco-friendly pieces made from organic and recycled fibers.
Gap is also releasing a sustainable and exclusive denim collection as part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Jeans Redesign campaign.
According to a press release, Gap has saved an estimated 402 million liters of water since 2016. This equates to 804 million bottles and 201 million days of daily drinking.
To continue this green movement, Gap aims to use 100-percent sustainable cotton in its pieces. So far, the brand has managed to incorporate five-percent recycled cotton in its denim, and 100-percent organic cotton in its baby and kidswear. It also uses 100-percent recycled nylon in outerwear pieces.
