Supreme Is Set To Launch Its First Camera, A Yashica MF-1 Film Gadget

Supreme is slated to release its very first camera this week.
The New York streetwear brand will be launching a logo-adorned Yashica MF-1 35mm film camera. The reusable plastic camera will be available in black and red, and will come with a fixed 31mm lens and built-in flash.
Yashica actually ceased operations in 2005, and was relaunched by new owners in 2008.
The Yashica MF-1 camera, originally a Kickstarter project in 2019, should be considered an upgrade to disposables, per PetaPixel. It was marketed as a simple compact 35mm camera with a fixed shutter speed of 1/120s. It also has a fixed aperture of f/11 and has a built-in flash that allows you to fire approximately 120 flashes with a single AA battery.
Photographers were not a fan of the new MF-1 due to its flimsiness, and the photos produced were not too sharp either.
Supreme has yet to announce the price, but according to PetaPixel, the MF-1 usually sells for US$60. You’ll be able to get your hands on the camera through Supreme’s website and physical stores on March 25.
