This Company Will Pay You $2,400 to Avoid All Screens for 24 Hours

Think you can go 24 hours without social media? A company is willing to pay someone US$2,400 for a full day of screen-detoxing.
Reviews.org, a company that tests home services and products, is holding a ‘24-Hour Digital Detox Challenge’, paying its chosen challengers to survive a whole day without screens.
“If you’ve got the desire to ditch your devices for a day, but still need to get paid, this is the perfect opportunity for you,” the company said on its website.
Those interested can apply on the website. Selected participants must avoid digital screens of all kinds—whether on gaming consoles, smartphones, computers, laptops, smartwatches, wearable tech, or smart home devices.
The website states that microwaves are the only technology you’ll be able to use during the period.
Reviews.org will also give out US$200 of Amazon gift cards so people can purchase activities, which they call a “survival kit,” to keep them occupied outside the online world. Some of the suggestions from the company include a typewriter, writing paper, board games, and brushes to paint self-portraits.
After the challenge, participants are also required to submit screen time reports to show that they had gone the full day without using technology.
