Artist Katsushika Hokusai is known for his series Thirty-Six View of Mount Fuji. Based on three prints from the ukiyo-e series, 20 colors have been chosen to put together to form a limited-edition color pencil set, dubbed Color in Edo! Hokusai Colored Pencils, by Japanese mail-order company Felissimo and online media company Warakuweb.
Some of the prints in the series that Hokusai is famous for includes The Great Wave Off Kanagawa, Fine Wind, Clear Morning and Thunderstorm Beneath The Summit. In the curated set, you can find shades of blue, red, and yellow, as well as some dark colors, allowing you to recreate these famous artworks.
The exclusive color pencils cost ¥4,400 (USD$40.33) per set, and they are enveloped in a sleek paper sleeve with Hokusai’s iconic waves and arranged carefully in a translucent case.
It also comes with three postcards that feature illustrations of Hokusai’s artworks to shade in.
