But when you’re in a rush or half-asleep, making your own cuppa can be somewhat of a chore. Who wouldn’t want a freshly prepared cup waiting for them as they wake, the smell of roasted beans wafting through the air?
Enter the ‘Zhi Ka Master’, a robotic coffee-making system by Beijing’s Orion Star Technology Co. Ltd. Using twin-arm robotics, this fully-automated robot barista can make the perfect cup of hand-poured coffee. Picky about your coffee? Don’t fret. The Zhi Ka Master is equipped to receive special orders that aren’t on the usual menu. It is able to brew coffee and tea for all tastes.
Simply press a button, and the machine whirs into life, with an integrated software adjusting the robot’s mechanical grip to fit items it has to grab.
A built-in RGB camera allows the robot to respond to feedback in real-time, too. It’s also installed with an emergency stop button to prevent any mishaps.
Occupying only three square meters (32 square feet) of space, this robotic coffee maker sounds like the perfect way to get great, customized coffee every day.
