Kanye West’s Odd YZY Rose Shoes Might Soon Show Up On NBA Courts

Last August, Kanye West gave fans a sneak peek of a minimalist take on his coveted shoe line. Then named the ‘YZY D Rose’, the design drew flack from fans, with them comparing the footwear to sliced potatoes, fish bones, and even pasta.
Recently, NBA player Derrick Rose – whom West collaborated with on the design – and his wife Alaina have posted new teasers for the release, under the new name of ‘YZY Rose’. The New York Knicks basketball player posted on Instagram thanking West, and included an image of a slideshow suggesting project updates, including on-court plans.
According to The Sole Supplier, the YZY Rose features a ribbed design that is crafted wholly from foam for a comfortable fit. Like most of the shoes in his line, it is also slip-on.
While it’s uncertain how the shoes are going to function on the basketball court, we’re willing to bet they’ll sell out just as quickly as the other YEEZYs.
