Mastercard Debuts The First Crypto Rewards Credit Card, So You Can Buy More NFTs

Mastercard and New-York based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini have partnered up with WebBank, a leader in digital lending, to offer the world’s very first credit card with cryptocurrency rewards.
And since the Gemini Credit Card was first introduced in early 2021, it’s already amassed more than 140,000 people on its waitlist.
Cardholders of the Gemini Credit Card can earn up to 3% back when purchasing in Bitcoin or any of the 30 cryptocurrencies available on Gemini, including Ethereum. The crypto rewards will automatically be deposited into the cardholder’s Gemini account.
It’s also the first crypto rewards platform to deliver crypto rewards in real-time. Unlike most credit cards, which pay out rewards monthly, Gemini cardholders will receive their crypto rewards as soon as the transaction occurs. This allows cardholders to benefit from any appreciation in the price of their rewards as soon as possible.
Not to mention, the Gemini Credit Card has no annual fees, but comes with 24/7 live customer service for support on the spot. The sleek, contactless metal card is available in black, silver, or rose gold, and boasts top-level security.
Unlike other cards, only your name will appear on the card, while the 16-digit card number and other sensitive information can be easily accessed via the mobile app.
As Gemini has teamed up with Mastercard, cardholders won’t lose out on the usual credit card rewards either. You’ll be able to access exclusive offers with merchants such as DoorDash, HelloFresh, Lyft, and ShopRunner. It also comes with Mastercard’s ID Theft Protection so you know your money (be it cash or cryptocurrency) is extra safe.
