Were you a chronic channel surfer back in the day? If so, Netflix’s ‘Play Something’ might be your new favorite feature.

The streaming platform relieves channel-hopping tendencies but takes things up a notch by actually playing new series or films in line with users’ viewing habits.

So if you’ve just completed the entire Modern Family, the tool will either play a similar heartfelt show, something you’ve watched in the past but might want to catch again, a program from your watch list, or a show that you haven’t completed.



Now available globally, the ‘Play Something’ feature can be found on the login screen, the home screen, or the navigation menu.

PLAY SOMETHING will show you:

✔️ A new series/film similar to one you've watched before

✔️An episode/film you’ve already watched and may want to watch again if it's been a while

✔️ An episode from a show you've started but haven't finished (it will pick up where you left off) pic.twitter.com/cVAVkraeOk
