Google-Powered ‘True Colors’ Instagram Scanner Reveals Your Feed’s Defining Hues

So, you’ve found out your birthday color, but what might be the shades that truly make your heart sing? The answer has been right under your nose this whole time—those colors are in your Instagram feed, and you could spend the next hour studying it and extracting them yourself.
Or you could let AI do the work for you. Smartphone maker OnePlus has rolled out a ‘True Colors’ scanner to help you figure out if you’re more Charred Mauve, Biscuit Beige or Mysterious Green. Powered by Google Vision AI, the tool combs your profile and generates a personalized palette based on the most-used colors in your Instagram photos.
The scanner was created to line up with the launch of the new OnePlus 9 Series, co-developed with digital medium format camera brand Hasselblad. The partnership ensures “unparalleled” smartphone color performance with a ‘Natural Color Calibration’ feature which delivers photos with natural skin tones and colors.
The campaign, produced by full-service creative agency FCB Inferno, also involves a global Instagram competition that will determine the most consistent colors per country.
