Arsenal Football Club has unveiled its brand-new away kit for the 2021/2022 season, and the pale yellow shirt is a throwback to the FA Cup-winning Gunners’ kits of 1971 and 1979.
Most special is the new kit’s retro canon logo, which hasn’t appeared on an Arsenal shirt since 1990.
Made by Adidas, the ‘Pearl Citrine’ kit will feature ‘Collegiate Navy blue’ branding, with Arsenal’s signature red accents on its sleeves.
Each jersey will feature an ‘Arsenal for Everyone’ slogan on the back, as a reminder and celebration of the diversity within the soccer club.
According to FourFourTwo, authentic jerseys will be made with Adidas’ new HEAT.RDY – KEEP COOL technology, whereas the replica version for fans will feature the AEROREADY – FEEL READY, with similar cooling technology.
This is the only Arsenal kit of the 2021/2022 season that will feature the canon logo instead of the regular Arsenal logo in its entirety.
The new kit is available for purchase
here, and will be available at select retailers from next week.
