Bugatti’s $18M Hypercar Takes The Wheel As Priciest New Car Of All Time

Bugatti’s latest roadster, first teased in 2019 as part of the automaker’s 110th anniversary, is finally ready for the road.
The La Voiture Noire, a Chiron-inspired hypercar, is now the most expensive new car ever, and will go up for sale at a staggering US$18 million.
The car is a reimagined version of the brand’s iconic Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic. Powered by an eight-liter, 16-cylinder quad-turbo engine, the car comes with a carbon-fiber body and six (six!) exhaust pipes on its rear. Its sleek, black, and silver design makes it look like a supercar from the future.
According to Highsnobiety, the owner of the world’s most expensive new car is still unknown. Rumors have linked it to former VW Group chairman Ferdinand Piech.
