Balenciaga’s X-Pander Sneakers Are Bionic Shoes From The Future

Balenciaga has managed to shake up the shoe market again. Its latest launch, the X-Pander, is reminiscent of futuristic shoes your favorite cartoon characters probably used to wear.
The sneaker features a new suspended heel added to the usual mesh and nylon track shoes. According to Input, the rear of your foot will be suspended 40mm from the ground, with the unit compressing each time you take a step. How’s that for futuristic kicks?
The X-Pander will be available in five different colorways: burgundy, white, black, gray/green, and yellow/gray/black, and will retail for US$1,250.
