If you’re someone who gets overwhelmed or distracted by background sounds in your daily life, Apple’s latest software update will be right up your alley. The tech giant is introducing new background sounds to help minimize distractions and help you stay calm and focused.

You can choose from balanced, bright or dark noise, as well as ocean, rain, or stream sounds to continuously play in the background.

That means no more listening to the neighbors argue, or construction from down the road. You will also be able to mix the sounds or duck them under other audio systems.

Another new service Apple is launching is SignTime, debuting this week. This new feature will enable customers to communicate with AppleCare and Customer Care using Sign Language, be it American, British or French. More countries are expected to be added in the near future.

Apple Watch users will also be getting a new update: AssistiveTouch. It will allow users with limited mobility to enjoy the benefits of the Apple Watch without using the display or controls.

Using built-in motion sensors, the Apple Watch will be able to detect subtle muscle movements, allowing users to navigate a cursor on the display with hand gestures. They will thus be able to answer incoming calls or access the Notification Center more easily.

“With these new features, we’re pushing the boundaries of innovation with next-generation technologies that bring the fun and function of Apple technology to even more people,” said Sarah Herrlinger, Apple’s Senior Director of Global Accessibility Policy and Initiatives.

Other updates Apple fans can look forward to later this year include new display and text size settings, Memoji customizations to better represent users with disabilities, and sound actions for switch control. For more information, check out Apple’s notes here.
