The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Sugar 23, a company launched by Oscar-winning producer Michael Sugar, to commission an official non-fungible token (NFT) of the famed Hollywood Sign.

However, they’ve yet to find an artist or filmmaker to materialize the digital piece, though the firm says it plans to launch the sale in the summer.

Sugar explained that when thinking of creating the most iconic NFT possible, the famed Hollywood Sign comes to mind.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, it does seem like the endeavor will be for a good cause. “We see this as a unique opportunity to do something good for the city, by the city, and with the city of Los Angeles, and what better way to give back than by raising money for those who need it most,” said Sugar.

Will this NFT be the brainchild of a huge collaboration? When it’s Hollywood, it’s hard to write anything off.
