‘Among Us’-Like McDonald’s Chicken McNugget Raises Nearly $35,000 In Bids

This chicken nugget is looking a little sus.
McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets have generally appeared in four forms, namely the bell, boot, ball, and bowtie. Fans have now discovered a fifth shape: the Among Us crewmate.
It turns out that people would practically trade a lifetime’s worth of McNuggets to get their hands on this “impostor,” as the Chicken McNugget uncannily shaped like a character from the popular quarantine video game has raked in 120 bids on eBay as of the time of publication.
The nugget started out with an asking price of US$0.99, but it has since climbed its way to warranting a top bid of US$34,443.43.
Clearly, the chicken nugget’s got the literal legs to take it far, but its eye-watering worth could also be attributed to the claim that it was discovered in one of McDonald’s coveted meals celebrating South Korean boyband BTS. According to the listing’s owner, the “authentic Among Us-shaped” nugget in “Used” condition had come from a BTS Combo meal.
Whoever gets the morsel will receive it frozen and air-sealed via USPS First Class for ultimate freshness.
