Celebrate Your Pronouns With Free Video Call Backgrounds Personalized For You

In celebration of Pride Month this June, why not showcase your pronouns in a beautiful way on Microsoft Teams or Zoom?
How we’re addressed by others is a key factor in our daily communication, even more so for queer, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and transgender individuals. It’s time to celebrate your personal pronouns and be proud of who you are and who you identify as.
Global communications firm VMLY&R has launched the Proud Pronoun Project, a site that allows you to select your personal gender pronouns and create a colorful illustration to use as your video call background.
Users can choose from cis, transgender, and non-binary pronouns, with over 24 options available. There are also gender-neutral pronouns for those who don’t associate with any gender at all.
To come up with the artwork, VMLY&R teamed up with LGBTQ+ artists Lauren Phillips and Frank Norton to illustrate the eye-catching designs. All the employees featured in the sample backgrounds are also LGBTQ+ employees who spearheaded the project.
