Princess Diana’s Wedding Dress Goes On Public Display For First Time In 25 Years

Just one month before Princess Diana would have turned 60, her wedding dress is going on display at her former home, Kensington Palace.
Worn nearly 40 years ago at one of the world’s most iconic weddings, the gown was specially designed for the Princess by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, featuring its standout 25ft-long sequin train.
As per the BBC, organizers of the Royal Style In The Making exhibition say the dress is “now among the most famous in bridal history.”
This will also be the first time in 25 years the wedding dress is going on display, as per the exhibition.
A vision of early 1980s style, the wedding gown features large puffed sleeves, trimmed with bows and large ruffles. Its bodice was overlaid with panels of antique Carrickmacross lace, originally belonging to Queen Mary.
Alongside the famed wedding dress, Prince William and Prince Harry have also loaned the exhibition some of their mother’s going-away dresses.
Other exhibits include designs worn by the Queen, Princess Margaret, and the Queen Mother.
