LEGO & NASA Launch Free STEAM Series To Teach Kids Technology, Art, Science

LEGO Education has announced a new partnership with NASA, and will be launching a free digital STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) learning series for kids, debuting in September this year.
Build to Launch: A STEAM Exploration Series aims to spark curiosity and increase students’ engagement in STEAM through NASA’s upcoming Artemis I mission.
The series will span over 10 weeks, and will include interactive episodes and open-ended prompts across three learning themes: Getting to Space, Testing and Transport, and Working in Space. Teachers will be able to easily integrate the series, aimed at K-12 kids, into the curriculum.
Students will get to see astronauts, engineers, and flight controllers explain their careers at NASA, and inspire children to picture themselves in these roles in the future.
Through the series, children will work together to solve problems just like the NASA teams they learn about. They can also interact with a special LEGO Space Team, featuring LEGO Minifigs as members of the flight and ground crews involved in a space mission.
In real-time, classrooms will be able to tune into student press conferences hosted on the LEGO Education YouTube channel, by mini figures Kate and Kyle. Each episode will set up the theme of the next lesson module, allowing children to submit any queries they may have ahead of time for their NASA counterparts to answer.
