Watch: Pilot Reveals Hidden Server Room Under Airbus 350 Cockpit

Most passengers are no longer allowed to take a peek at a pilot’s quarters, only leaving us to imagine what their dining or hidden sleeping areas might look like.
Now, a pilot YouTuber has revealed more secrets in a commercial aircraft, including an entire server room located beneath the cockpit.
The pilot, who goes by the moniker of Bjornpilot, flies the Airbus 330, 340, and 350, and documents his travels using a selfie stick. In a recent video, he showed off some of the Airbus 350’s fancy secrets, most notably, the hidden server room.
In the movies, we often see all the electronics and computers a pilot needs right in front of them on the cockpit’s instrument panel or to the sides of the seats. However, a modern airliner needs far more computing power than that of a single-propeller plane.
Inside the cockpit, Bjornpilot shows off a trapdoor on the floor, which he then climbs down into to reveal the aircraft’s impressive avionics compartment. This hidden sever room features racks upon racks of computers and devices, only leaving enough room for a single person to stand.
If you’ve ever wondered if a pilot moves through the plane without you noticing, they do. According to Gizmodo, Bjornpilot also revealed an easy-access door between the airplane’s avionics compartment and cargo hold, allowing the pilot to move through the entire aircraft stealthily.
