‘LEGO’ Your Art Block With Free AI Camera That Shows What Else You Can Build

As LEGO builds toward a sustainable future one brick at a time, one AI-driven app takes matters into its own hands by reminding you to make the most of what you have.
‘Brickit’, a free machine-learning camera app unrelated to the toymaker, scans your pile of LEGO blocks and suggests new intriguing builds based on what you already own.
To use the tool, you will need to dump your plastic bricks on the floor and make sure all of them are laid out visibly—but be careful not to step on any during this step. Then, launch the app and point your phone camera at the mess. Brickit will show you new potential projects in a snap.
The app is even able to identify the location of each brick on the ground so you won’t have to strain your neck looking for colors and components.
Brickit can be found on the App Store, and will be available to Android devices this fall.
