Inflatable Pandas Escape From Café After Being Saved By Thunderstorm

Once reduced to mere decorative items at a café in Shanghai, two blowup pandas had their temporary shot at freedom when a thunderstorm struck on Thursday and set them free.
A bizarre video shared by Sixth Tone sees the giant models rolling with the wind, with one of them desperately heading to sea, while a human attendant grapples to confine them.
After a short struggle, the inflatable pandas are finally caught, destined to spend the rest of their lives watching people take Instagram photos of coffee art and pretend to read.
To be fair, the pandas have led a pretty decent life, with a rooftop and a row of teepees to themselves.
However, this strange event shows that, like us, pandas can’t be tied down so easily.
A thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rainfall hit Shanghai on Thursday. A staff member from a coffee shop was spotted trying to catch two inflatable panda bears that had been used to decorate the store’s exterior.
