‘Bubble House’ Almost 10 Years In The Making Goes Up For Sale For $1.5M

You’d be running around in circles at this one-of-a-kind ‘Bubble House’ in Queensland, Australia. That is, if the kaleidoscopic property allures you enough for you to shell out its selling price of AU$1.5 million (US$1.12 million).
Up for sale by way of First National Action Realty, the mesmeric three-story home, designed by architect Graham Birchall, consists of 11 domes and 20 rooms atop a 1.2-acre plot of land. Just about everything within this circle-inspired property is circular too, down to the library, desks, and staircases.
That’s because there was no cutting of corners, quite literally, for this spherical abode. The New York Post reports that the Bubble House had been in the works for nearly a decade. Per the listing: “This home is an ode to strength, beauty and the simplicity of the humble circle.”
An honorable touch is the series of shutters designed to resemble camera iris shutters. It also features a wine cellar, a spa bath with a round tub, and a large terrace.
