Sony Shows Off Latest Glass Speaker That Doubles As A Candle & Elegant Desk Lamp

Sony has just announced the newest addition to its lineup of speakers, the LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker. And, at US$349.99, it’s about US$100 cheaper than its predecessor, the LSPX-S2.
Designed not just as either a speaker or lamp, the glass tube – or tweeter – allows high-clarity sound to flow from a 360-degree angle, with the powerful built-in 46mm speaker. While enjoying your music, you can also enjoy the ambiance, as the LED light boasts 32 levels of illumination to choose from and a candlelight mode.
“The LSPX-S3 is a sleek and streamlined speaker that seamlessly blends with any environment," said Daisuke Kawaguchi, Sony’s Vice President of Home Entertainment & Sound, in Monday’s press release. “With crystal clear sound and a unique flickering candlelight mode, this speaker is designed to create an inviting atmosphere that delivers incredible audio quality.”
Other features include an eight-hour battery life, a sleep timer via the Sony Music Center app, and convenient USB-C charging. The entire product is easily portable at 1.1kg (2.43lbs) and boasts high connectivity with Bluetooth, making it compatible with a wide range of devices.
Swathed in a sleek silver satin finish, it’s effortless to visualize the speaker and its highly customizable lighting features in almost any environment—it just fits in, and really well at that.
The new Glass Sound Speaker will be available starting from next month, August 2021.
