Reese’s Puffs Gives Packaging A Sweet Remix, Doubling Them As Music Boxes

Reese’s Puffs has been adding to its musical lineup featuring collaborations with Lil Yachty to form a cereal yacht and a Parisian popup featuring Travis Scott. Now, it’s inviting breakfast champions to create their own beats in a series of music boxes crafted out of actual cereal boxes.
There are three variations of the ‘RP-FX’, which you can find on supermarket shelves: Crunchy Drum Machine, Creamy Lead Synth, and Chocolatey Bass Synth. Suddenly, music has never sounded so appetizing.
With PuffFX, the accompanying AR app, fans can place puffs on an intentionally marked grid on the back of the cereal box, and have the app create beats based on the detected placement. Combine all three variations, and you get a pretty fleshed-out track.
Then there’s the RP-PRO. This is an actual Reese’s-exclusive synthesizer which includes music samples and audio effects while donning the vibrant browns and oranges of the classic cereal box all the while, writes HYPEBEAST.
This fun piece of equipment boasts a custom Reese’s cup dial, buttons in the shape of the well-loved puffs, and chocolate-shaped drum pads. And, of course, a small compartment lets you stash a small bag of puffs. You know, just in case.
Not much has been said about the RP-PRO and where musicians can get their Reese’s-covered fingers on them yet, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
The peanut-buttery, chocolatey puffs of breakfast-time divinity have only one thing to ask of you: “Don’t forget us when you make it big.”
