Useful Google Sheet Features Open Positions In Creative Jobs Around The World

Lockdown or not, finding a suitable job in the creative industry is rarely a breeze, and adjustments to remote-working life haven’t made things any easier.
Come rain or shine, however, creators looking for new career opportunities have consistently had freelance animator Chris Mayne to thank for. For years now, Mayne has been sharing available job postings across the animation, gaming, and VFX industries on a free, open-access Google Sheet, and he continues to refresh it daily.
It was personal experience that guided the animator to start the list. Having struggled to find a job himself after Arc Productions—where he had been working at—shut down in 2016, Mayne said he had endured the same painful process many creatives are going through.
As featured by digital art and video game development platform 80 LEVEL, the helpful spreadsheet includes positions in both independent and big-name companies for artists, designers, animators, and producers around the world. It also displays location details, if the company has made preparations for a potential employee to relocate, whether specialized skills are needed, and more.
Most of the listings are culled by the animator himself, with LinkedIn being a “major source” of curation, Mayne explained in a statement shared by 80 LEVEL.
