Netflix To Disclose The ‘Shockingly Untold Story’ Of Bob Ross In New Documentary

If you’ve spent time on the internet, you’d know of Bob Ross, the late curly-haired painter who hosted famed art program The Joy of Painting. Ross captivated audiences with his feel-good approach to art, with his most well-known line being: “there are no mistakes, only happy accidents.”
Now, Netflix is gearing up to release a documentary about the beloved painter, though it doesn’t seem as wholesome. Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed will reveal the “shockingly untold story” of Ross’ life, as per the official synopsis.
The film will make public “a sinister tale surrounding his name and the empire that was built on it being hijacked by once trusted partners, whose slow betrayal of him continued beyond his death in 1995.”
It will delve into the legal battles over the control of Ross’ empire, involving the tussle between business partners Annette and Walt Kowalski.
“The man who famously said there were no mistakes—just happy accidents—has brought sheer delight to the world for decades. Beyond the iconic hair, soothing voice, and nostalgic paintings lies a mystery that many have yet to discover,” the film’s description teases.
