iPhone Users Hit With ‘No Service’ Troubles Following iOS 14.7.1 Update

While installing Apple’s latest iOS 14.7.1 is a small update, especially when compared to the changes iOS 15 will bring, it has caused big problems for some users.
On the company’s support forum, several threads have sprung up with complaints that the latest software update have left their smartphones with “no service.”
As per ZDNet, there doesn’t seem to be a particular model of iPhone that’s most affected. Whereas, from the threads, it seems that all versions from an iPhone 6 to the latest iPhone 12 lineup have faced troubles following the software upgrade.
Apple has provided various remedies on its support page, including removing and reinserting the smartphone’s SIM card, turning the smartphone off and on, or changing network settings. However, none of these have seemed to work, with users saying they received no help even after contacting mobile carriers themselves.
Currently, there doesn’t seem to be anything that could fix models bricked by the latest update. Apple might soon release a patch to remedy the situation, though if you’ve yet to update your iPhone’s software, it’ll be best to wait till the next update instead.
