Spotify Names Summer 2021’s Most-Streamed Songs, And They’re The Perfect Bops

Spotify has released a playlist of the most-streamed songs this summer. Songs of Summer features 25 of the streaming service’s top tracks, from May 29 to August 22, 2021.
Gen Z pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo took the number-one spot with Good 4 U, followed by Eurovision winners Måneskin’s Beggin cover just behind. Rauw Alejandro’s Todo De T, Lil Nas X’s Montero, and Doja Cat’s Kiss Me More snagged third, fourth, and fifth spots respectively.
According to NME, other celebrities who made the cut were Ed Sheeran, K-pop boyband BTS, Dua Lipa, and Ariana Grande. Rodrigo herself clinched the most number of spots on the list, with four tracks from her album Sour appearing in the playlist.
“Thank you guys so much for listening to my song ‘Good 4 U’ and getting it to the top of the Spotify Songs Of The Summer,” said Rodrigo in a video to her fans.
