Apple users, YouTube is finally rolling out its picture-in-picture viewing feature to those on iOS.
According to a report from
TechCrunch, the streaming service will begin introducing the feature to iPhone and iPad users in the US, beginning with volunteers who have YouTube Premium.
If you’re subscribed to YouTube’s monthly membership, simply sign up on the
experiments website to access the new feature. Users may have to reinstall the app to get it to work, as per
Engadget.
While Premium testing is set to end on October 31, the company has yet to announce when non-Premium users will gain access to the feature.
However, it’s still a significant step for YouTube, considering that it’s one of the only widely-used apps that hasn’t gone the route of picture-in-picture viewing.
