Ever wondered if your partner’s claims of deafening snoring in the middle of the night are true?
Well, with Fitbit’s new Snore & Noise Detect feature rolling out to wearables, you’ll soon find out if you’re indeed the culprit of a bad night’s sleep.
According to SlashGear, the new feature is meant to help users learn about the various noise disturbances at night, which could be affecting their sleep quality. The function will only be available on the Versa 3 and Sense models, for users with a premium subscription.
With Snore & Noise Detect, Fitbit users will see a new “check for snoring” option in their app, under the Sleep category. This will allow the smartwatch to listen to, and analyze, any noise that may occur during a user’s sleep cycle. This means that there’s a chance it’ll detect your partner’s the one snoring after all, too.
However, as the noise detection takes place every few seconds, it’ll undoubtedly wear on the watch’s battery life. Fitbit advises users to charge their trackers to at least 40% before heading to bed, so you’ll be able to get the full report in the morning.
If you’d rather not know who’s snoring, you can also choose to disable the new feature. Users will also be able to delete any data stored.
