Google Co-Founder’s ‘Hidden’ Office Discovered After Home Burns Down

Last week, one of the homes belonging to Google co-founder Larry Page went up in flames in Old Palo Alto, California.
Most people noted something else that was strange: that the home was allegedly being used as a “secret” office for the company’s tech workers.
Fortunately, no one was in the building at the time of the fire, which Deputy Fire Chief Kevin McNally said severely damaged the attic, and the back of the first and second stories.
According to reports by Palo Alto Online and The Daily Beast, firefighters had first arrived on scene at about 8:10pm.
Naturally, one of the “hidden” homes of the Google co-founder was a swanky six-bedroom, 5.5-bath cottage worth US$10 million. Rebecca Eisenberg, a former city council candidate and general counsel for Reddit, told The Daily Beast that Page “owns what feels like most of the block.”
While people were initially critical of the amount of resources the fire department dedicated towards the “small fire,” most of the speculation has now gone in the direction of the workers, as per Input.
It’s still unclear why a group of Google executives were working from one of Page’s homes, and if the magnate was hosting over groups of workers in his other homes — and more intriguingly, what for.
Could “secret” Google offices actually be a thing? They may be.
