$2,000 Smart Scooter Is ‘Puncture-Proof’ And Even Tells You When To Make Turns

Unagi Scooters has unveiled what it claims to be the “world’s first smart scooter,” named the ‘Model Eleven’. While that statement has been made years ago by another company, boy, is this scooter smart.
Not only will it get you to your destination, but the scooter also offers directions on the go, and has an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) sensor installed.
The device is truly an all-in-one marvel. Users will be able to play their favorite tunes from the scooter’s built-in Bluetooth speaker, which also delivers turn-by-turn audio instructions to guide them to their destinations.

According to Engadget, the company partnered Google for the navigation features. Users can simply enter their destination on their smartphone, and the scooter will pick up their location and provide directions via audio and on the display screen.
Starting from US$2,440, the Model Eleven certainly isn’t a small investment. For enhanced security, the scooter comes with a motion sensor alarm system, which will sound should someone try to steal it. Plus, there’s GPS tracking akin to Apple’s ‘Find My’ feature, with the user being able to halt a stolen scooter right from the app.

If you’ve got some extra cash to spare, why not try the higher-end model with an ADAS sensor? This function allows the scooter to differentiate between pedestrians, stop signs, traffic lights, and cars on the road. It’ll even warn you if you’re on path for a possible collision.
Both models are made from carbon fiber, making the Model Eleven the highest, full-suspension scooter on the market, as per Unagi.

It’s foldable too, so you won’t have any troubles fitting it into your car or taking it on the tube. Notably, the scooter’s tires are also “puncture-proof,” so you won’t have to stop halfway on your journey should it roll over a sharp object.

The standard Model Eleven costs US$2,440, with the ASAS model going for US$2,860.
