Vans Creeps Into Nightmares With Classic Horror Film-Inspired Street Gear

If you’re keener on villains than superheroes, Vans’ new Halloween collection is just the thing for you.
The fashion brand has partnered with six of the most iconic horror films ever for a capsule horror pack that’s sure to stand out. Movies featured for the spooky season include Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, The Shining, It, and The Lost Boys.
To add to your decision-making woes, there’s a lot to choose from—with eight different silhouettes, including the best-selling Sk8-Hi and Old Skool.

According to Input, the inclusion of the Freddy Krueger Sk8-Hi is the highlight of the collection, especially with its interesting history. In 2007, Nike SB was slated to release a Dunk Low model in homage of the villain, but was halted by a cease and desist from New Line Cinema. The few pairs that were sneaked out are considered some of the most exclusive sneakers of all time.

With the official nod from the franchise, Vans can now officially feature the character as part of this horror collection. Kicks aside, there’s also apparel up for sale, most being T-shirts printed with the famous films’ poster images.
