WhatsApp Will No Longer Work On These Devices Starting November 1: Check Here

WhatsApp, the world’s most-used messaging app, has announced that it will stop working on some older devices, starting November 1.
The platform, which has about two billion active monthly users, officially said it will no longer support smartphones running on anything older than Android 4.1 and iOS 10.
As per The National News, the affected models are:
Apple: iPhone SE (1st-gen), iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus.
Samsung: Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Ace 2.
Huawei: The Huawei Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, Ascend D Quad XL, Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend P1 S, Ascend D2.
LG: The LG Lucid 2, Optimus F7, Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus F5, Optimus L5, Optimus L5 II, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L7, Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7 II, Optimus F6, Enact, Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F3, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L2 II, Optimus Nitro HD and 4X HD, Optimus F3Q.
Sony: Sony Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L, Xperia Arc S.
ZTE: ZTE Grand S Flex, ZTE V956, Grand X Quad V987, Grand Memo.
Other affected models can be found in this lineup.
According to BGR, in the case of iOS 10, which was released in 2016, there are still upgrade options for phones who’ve yet to make the leap.
Apple devices that are still able to install iOS 10 include the iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE (1st-gen), iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus. Any device after those would’ve come with more advanced software.
If your device is one of the affected models, it may be time to splurge on a better model. Don’t worry about your WhatsApp messages being deleted, as you can always transfer your chat history to the new phone.
