If you’ve been on TikTok, you’ll know the app is home to a diverse range of interests and subcultures. Among them are the “plant parents,” or people who are just really, really fond of their plants.

Now, plant lovers are getting an app all to themselves with PlantLife. According to Input, the new platform’s founders have worked for some of the world’s largest brands—including Nike and Apple—and are now pooling their expertise into a social destination for green thumbs.

Users will be able to upload pictures and information of each of their plants, including its name, species, and even a short description of their favorites. They can also search for a matching species in the app’s database, which will allow users to view care instructions specific to that type of plant.

Besides sharing information and care techniques, PlantLife also wants to be a social app where influencers can connect with fans and create diverse communities with different focuses on plants.

It has already been in touch with “plantfluencers,” who are popular social media influencers posting mostly plant content. These chosen ambassadors can set up their own e-commerce stores within the app, where fans can buy tools or other items they recommend.

PlantLife’s founders also wanted to ensure their advertising strategy didn’t leave out small nurseries. Small businesses will be allowed to use the app as a marketing platform for their goods, which regular users will also be allowed to trade or buy plants from one another.
