Adobe Turns Internet’s Photoshop Battles Into A Real-Life Game Show

Just like that, Reddit’s ‘Photoshop Battles’ community has tickled the internet for a decade. For its 10th-anniversary bash, Adobe and Reddit are doing something special for the 17 million creative fans who have indulged their unique sense of humor through Photoshop’s multifaceted editing tools—they’ve launched Photoshop Battles Live (PsBattles Live), a five-day competition recognizing the wittiest and strangest photoshopped memes of the internet.
The live-streamed event, which kicked off at 5 am PT on Monday, October 18, brings immediacy to the well-loved internet challenge. Each day, moderators of the new r/PsBattlesLive community will share fresh new images for participants to base their work on. The best edits will then be showcased in a daily one-hour PsBattles Live show—Reddit’s first-ever live show—from 12 pm to 1 pm PT.
Throughout the five days, contestants will receive points and community awards for delivering the weirdest remixes of photos.

The event is hosted by comedian Patti Harrison, who will be joined by comics and celebrities like Kate Flannery, Michael Ian Black, Maz Jobrani, Trixie Mattel, Will Sasso, Esther Povitsky, and DJ Douggpound (Doug Lussenhop), and Reddit “lizard psychologist” Therapy Gecko (Lyle Drescher).
