Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has dipped its toes in many other non-fashion-related items over the last few months, including an NFT-laden video game and city bicycles. And with the latter, wouldn’t it be fitting to have a guide to explore the cities on said bicycles with? If only Louis Vuitton had thought of that, right?

Of course, it has.

Ever since 1998, the company has published a collection of annual City Guides, “bringing to life the world's most fascinating cities for business and leisure travelers alike.”

This year’s lineup has just been announced, and includes Paris, Beijing, Berlin, Cape Town, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Milan, New York, Prague, Rome, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei, and Tokyo.

“From five-star hotels to boutique concepts, gourmet restaurants to neighborhood bistros, antique shops to designer hubs, museums and monuments, each Louis Vuitton City Guide is a treasure trove of invaluable information, which reveals the pleasures each city has to offer,” the company declares.

In each edition, one city takes center stage and is detailed impeccably by journalists and writers, as well as a guest editor who hails from that city to truly capture its essence.

Published in both English and French, the treasure troves of information are available separately for US$37 each or come as a complete set for US$740. The 15–strong collection is packaged in a lacquered wood box and is available in five colors: Sydney Blue, Cape Town Green, Rome Yellow, Taipei Pink, and Berlin Orange. Unfortunately, Rome Yellow is currently sold out on the Louis Vuitton website.

In addition to this, the fashion house is also publishing three new titles in its Fashion Eye series. The books are based in photography and spotlight three iconic practitioners in different cities: American photographer Melvin Sokolsky and Chinese photographer Feng Li for Paris, and Spanish photographer Robi Rodriguez for London. These will retail for US$58 each.

All the books that Louis Vuitton is putting out in the two collections can be found in its physical retail stores, or on its online store. While the City Guides are available to buy now, the Fashion Eye publications are set for a November release.
