Free ‘CleanUp Pictures’ Tool Instantly Retouches Images Without All The Mess

Whether to remove objects you forgot to leave out when taking a picture or to wipe out a background for a product photo, this neat, timesaving tool will get you there in seconds.
Retouching can be a chore, but with the help of LaMa—an open-source model created by Samsung’s AI Lab—engineers at product photography app ClipDrop have created a free browser app that allows anyone to polish photos without hassle. Called ‘CleanUp.pictures’, the tool does anything from removing photobombers to creating clean backdrops.
To erase objects, simply draw over them, and poof. It doesn’t matter if you’ve accidentally traced over the edge of another object—the tool will recognize it as irrelevant and ignore it. According to ClipDrop, Samsung’s AI steps in to “accurately redraw the areas that you delete,” so nothing looks amiss.

CleanUp.pictures has proven to be so useful, ClipDrop’s CEO Cyril Diagne says that a million cleanups were made a week since the app’s launch on October 20.
