Disney To Debut NFTs Of Beloved Characters From Its Multifaceted Universe

Disney’s magic isn’t just tangible in Orlando, Anaheim, Paris, and other park destinations, but it’s now moving into the metaverse too.
On November 12, 2021, Disney+ turns two. To commemorate the first-ever Disney+ Day, the streaming platform has teamed up with digital collectible marketplace VeVe to debut exclusive digital golden statues of celebrated characters and items from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more.
These exclusive non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will make up an all-new Golden Moments collection, which, as its name implies, is a celebration of some of Disney’s most iconic moments.
It’s worth noting that these wouldn’t be Disney’s first official NFTs. Last month, Disney and VeVe rolled out digital artworks based on Disney+’s Loki and What If?, which you can peer at below.
Aside from ownership of exclusive Disney artworks, collectors of the upcoming Golden Moments series will additionally enjoy three free months of Disney+. There’ll also be an Ultra Rare digital sculpture, which comes with a whole year of free subscription. This deal is applicable to customers living in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Spain.
The Golden Moments NFTs will be released on VeVe in the days leading up to Disney+ Day on November 12.
